Biography

Nicole Nicholas was born and raised in North Carolina. She took
an early interest in photography, using a Minolta Maxxum and
developing her own photos in the darkroom. She began taking
college photography classes while still attending high school to
further her knowledge.

After moving to California in 1998, Nicole was introduced to
digital photography via the Kodak DC210, an early 1.3
megapixel digicam. Though its quality and features paled next to
35mm photography, she was excited by the technology's
potential. Upon the release of the Nikon D1 digital SLR, Nicole
was finally able to move to an all-digital workflow.

Since then, she has travelled widely and taken many thousands
of photographs in California and beyond, and amassed quite a
collection of computer hardware and software to manage and
safeguard her images.
